Topaz Lake,Nevada www.topazlake.com
Topaz Lake is near Carson City in Nevada,just on the Border to California.
It's an Artificial Lake.A Ranger Campsite is on the one Site,open all Year,with a Bootramp.
water and Electricity to Camper Sites.Water to Tent sites.Toilets near Sites and wetroom on Main Building.
On the other Site of the Lake,about half a Mile away is a General Store,24 Hour open.tents,Sleeping Bags,and everything you need for sell.Even Fuel.Next to them is Topaz Lodge,a hotel trakt,and a Casino with Restaurant,also open 24 Hour.
Around the Lakes some Ranches.I bought there some Hay,as its in Wintersnight cool,and Hay in two Sleepingbags is a very good Isolator.
To go there you can catch from reno a Bus to carson city.
In reno is it about $3.- from greyhound by Taxi.the Bus to carson City cost $3.50. a City Bus in CC brings you for $1.- to walmart,to get the Bus to Topaz Lake,$2.-
well,there you phone the Ranger for a Lift or ask a Local at General Store.
Fisher come every day with theres Boots,and are happy to take you with them.Nearby is a Pack Station www.leavittmeadows.com to ride out on Horseback.
Temperatures in December to March warm by Day,but Cool at Night.Sometimes are Snow from Pazific.Then will the Barometer fall as an Ax.Winterclothes necessary by Night.Firewood can be ordered by Ranger who see all few Hours by.
In Summer Hot!
Hilton Ranch,were Steve Fossett last took up is few Miles away.

Traveling in USA
Greyhound,i take mostly. www.Greyhound.com
If booked early in Advance is the Price by 50% down.
Usually i go by BA,but take the Fly to Chicago or DFW and do the other Ways by Greyhound.Everywhere they go,and on some Journeys you can reserve your Seat for $5,-.
Coaches stop al two/three Hour,and the Journey could be Split-booked to have some Hour off on some Towns. Interesting when visiting some Historian Sites the Way along. www.Ghosttowns.com
